Atelier Scoziero

Color possesses me

"Color possesses me. I don't have to pursue it. It will pursue me always, I know it. That is the meaning of this happy hour: Color and I are one. I am a painter."

Paul Klee

1995

Libera Accademia Città di Cividale

She attends the Libera Accademia Città di Cividale, taking part to oil painting classes of plain air landscapes “Light and breath of Nature” under the guidance of Master Roberto Dolso.

She attends Artist Dora Bassi’s lessons, aimed to explore the topic of landscapes in the history of Art and the role of artists in the creation of a new perspective on nature.

These classes become very significant for Mariarosa Scoziero, because they allow her to grasp her own artistic feeling and to express it through painting. From now then Life and Art would strongly intertwine into herself.

2005

Venezia - Lazzaretto Nuovo Isle

Under the guidance of prof. Luciano Zarotti, teacher at Belle Arti Academy in Venice, and with the collaboration of Archaeological Superintendence of the Region OF Veneto, she deepens the ancient practices on the setting of the boards through theoretical activities, with reference to Veneto painting.

2006

New Thecniques

She goes on with her training, acquiring acrylic, tempera and mixed techniques. The desire of the study of light and moods keeps growing every day.

"The image becomes dense and clear in its naturalistic approach. You can switch to the delightful particular of a flowered latch. There’s a very special taste for the harmony of colors, which this painter from Cividale finally strengthens into a very balanced mood."
Paolo Rizzi

2007-2008

"On the other side of the sky there was the my childhood farm” – artistic workshop

In partnership with Nursery school Antony David Liberale of Rualis (Cividale del Friuli) she creates an itinerary for children, leading them to the discovery of the earth-toned colors of Aboriginal Australian life, passing through the peasant land and its surrounding nature until the dreamy world of Mirò.

2008

Icons

She meets the world of icons, getting fascinated by it. “A kind of fire caught me. I started studying iconography and its history.”

She deepens the study of ancient Byzantine and Russian techniques attending several courses. She carries out a number of Exhibitions, in which she exposes her own works during major events.

At the moment, she is still following her iconographic path in her workshop…that, like a twist of fate, is the one from which she got started twenty years before.

"The icon is painted on light, in which we live, move, exist. It is the room of real existence."
